Financial Controller - Manchester, United Kingdom - Simpson Judge Ltd

Description

Our client, a family owned business in Manchester are looking to appoint a dynamic Financial Controller to run the Finance function, drive performance and support the Directors.

This is a key role in the business and will suit someone ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with experience in a SME and has operated at a similar level, with strong leadership skills.

This is an office based role and candidates will ideally be available at short notice.


Salary:
£65,000-£75,000 plus bonus - 35 hours per weekLocation: Manchester (on site)

Responsibilities:
Production of monthly management accounts including commentary and supporting schedules.
Managing a small team.
Budgeting & Forecasting.
WIP analysis, including job reviews with project managers.
Job and profitability analysis.
Cashflow management. Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Managing the year end audit.
Production of statutory accounts.
Driving continuous improvement and streamlining processes.
Reviewing VAT/PAYE.Key point of contact for bank and external factoring.


Requirements:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
Advanced Excel skills.
Skilled in building financial models for forecasting.
Experience in construction/engineering experience would be advantageous
