Operations Supervisor - Lifting and Crane Operations
Location:
Govan or Scotstoun (Onsite)
Salary:
Up to £42,864 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising and coordinating lifting and rigging operations
- Carrying out daily safety start/stop briefings with the squad and discussing priorities and targets for the shift ahead
- Allocating SQEP labour to lifting activities, ensuring that all personnel are full trained, authorised, and competent for the tasks undertaken
- Providing daily management of all lifting tackle and equipment to ensure that it is correctly stored, maintained, and controlled
- Ensuring all lifting operations comply with internal liftin processes and procedures and align with all expected safety standards and regulations including LOLER Regs
- BS7121 and ensuring the health and safety of all employees at all times
- Communicating daily with area leads and subcontractors onsite regarding upcoming lifting requirements to ensure all tasks are correctly planned and enabled
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Vast knowledge and experience in the safe execution of all lifting operations
- LOLER Regs 1998, BS7121 Lifting Ops
- Strong safety awareness and behavioural skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Site/Operations Supervisor
- CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor, CPCS A40 Slinger Signaller, CPCS A60 Mobile Crane Operator, SSSTS CPCS
- ECITB Level 3 Moving Loads

The Operation Lifting team:
Joining the Operations Lifting team as an Operations Supervisor you will play a key part in the build of the Type 26 Naval Ships.
