    Description

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a specialist Fit Out & Refurbishment Contractor. The property manager will be West Midlands and Cambridgeshire based project portfolio.

    The Project Manager role

    The successful project manager will join a dynamic team of professionals, working on an array of projects around Central London and the Home Countries. The specialist teams undertake a variety of projects ranging in size and scale from £50,000 up to £15M+.

    The incoming project manager will have a good track record of delivering fit out projects and ideally a strong background with main contractors.

    This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to manage a multi-disciplined team and subcontractors to overseeing the project programme, design, quality management and health and safety.

    Duties also include -

    • Cost control
    • Programme and progress reporting
    • Attending and leading client and professional team meetings
    • Conducting regular site reviews: undertaking safety audits, daily activity audits, progress reviews, snagging of installed works and managing coordination
    • The ability to plan and programme projects with knowledge of planning software
    • Health & Safety management; overviewing and compiling risk assessments and method statements as necessary for all site tasks
    • Control of noise and control of substances hazardous to health
    • Understanding of risks, conducting assessments and management
    • Neighborhood relationship management - knowledge of CCS desirable but not essential
    • Inspections of contractor works etc that may necessitate working at heights, climbing/traversing scaffolds
    • Collation and preparation of close out schedules including O&M manuals

    The Project Manager

    • Previous Project Management experience within a Main Contractor
    • Fit out / Refurbishment project experience
    • Trade, technical or degree background desirable
    • In-depth knowledge of the construction process
