About This Job


This position leads the Value and Access team to develop and deliver local market access strategies to ensure access and uptake of brands at a local level both at reimbursement and throughout the product lifecycle.

The role supports the organisation in identifying key payer customer stakeholders, co-creating, and executing local engagement plans in alignment with HEOR, P&GA and Key Account Managers

Key Activities for this role

Work collaboratively with affiliate and global teams to ensure appropriate tools and materials are developed to support the field-based market access teams to engage effectively with local payers, service managers and HCPs, where necessary

Lead on ensuring services are commissioned by the NHS, where appropriate, to ensure fast and rapid uptake of new technologies once reimbursement is in place

Support the field-based market access team to understand and leverage national and local policies and how brands can support delivery on policy objectives

Work cross-functionally, specifically with medical, to support development of real world data to support payer engagement

Understand key national and regional / local NHS datasets and how they can be deployed to support access and outcomes discussions with customers, and where can help to improve service delivery and patient outcomes

The role will head up cross-functional teams created to respond to new product and other emerging challenges such as contracting, competitor challenges, purchasing reviews and marketing regulations on assigned medicines

Essential Knowledge & Experience

Extensive experience in a Market Access role in the Pharma sector with strong patient/customer focus, in multidisciplinary, matrix and global context

Good experience in leading and managing field based market access activities

Working knowledge of NHS policies that impact access to medicines

Strong experience devising and implementing local market access strategies and achieving exceptional results for product

Proven track record in developing and delivering compelling value propositions and access strategies for local payer engagement

Prior experience of developing KPIs and dashboards, to support sustainable growth and performance

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

Experience of relevant Therapeutic Area (Oncology/Renal/Urology)

Educations/Qualifications

Graduate or equivalent professional qualification in Life Sciences and/or proven expertise
