Universal Building Specialist have an exciting opportunity for aJoiner / Carpenter to join the team.
Location:
North London and surrounding areas
Salary:
£32,000 based on 10 periods of standby per year + overtime
Joiner / Carpenter - The Role:
Due to a new contract win with a national client, we are looking to recruit an experienced Joiner/carpenter to look after several Small/Medium/Large commercial sites across the north of England.
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance across a number of retail stores. The role will involve joinery, Fire Door inspection and remedial works, basic plumbing, minor roof repairs, changing locks etc.The purpose of this role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance repairs and minor PPM's.
You will also be completing reports upon completion of maintenance tasks.
All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down company Health and Safety policy
Joiner / Carpenter - Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance building maintenance / fabric works in accordance with contractual KPI's
- Advise your line manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the running of the building
- Carry out minor alterations and installations in accordance with current specifications.
- Complete general repairs and maintenance to the building as designated by the Maintenance Manager, e.g. repairs to the building fabric, such as, plumbing, joinery, changing locks, painting
- To assist other Technicians / Engineers on site when requested to do so
Joiner / Carpenter - You:
- Ability to maintain / repair a range of building fabrics
- Willingness to work flexible hours/Work away from home
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work at heights and competent in the use of steps and ladders
- IT literate capability to use tablet and generate reports on our CAFM system (training will be provided)
- Joinery: 2 years (required)
- Maintenance of Fire door Trained (preferred)
- Fabric engineer: 2 years (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
- City & Guilds level 2 (required)
- CSCS (preferred)
- IT literate (required)
