Description

To complement our teams, Public Health Wales is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Public Health Specialist to the position of Lead Consultant in Communicable Disease Control (Consultant in Health Protection)/ Deputy Director of Health Protection in our Health Protection Division.

The post is at 1.0 WTE on a permanent basis.


CCDCs/CHPs will provide specialist advice and input on a range of health protection issues, leading on the response to outbreaks and incidents in the community or healthcare settings as required.

To deliver objectives they will work closely with other consultant colleagues, nurse practitioners and specialist staff within the team.


Appointees will also be part of the Health Protection Out of Hours Rota and will work on call to cover shifts throughout the year providing consultant support regarding incidents and enquiries made to the service.
