We are recruiting a full-time, Primary Teaching Assistant for an inner city, Primary School in the Longsight area of Manchester, starting immediately until the end of the academic year.

There could be the option of securing a permanent contract.

Primary Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:

• Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
• Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, EYFS/KS1/KS2 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
• Prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
• To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

Previous experience of working with children aged 4-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity

• Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum
• Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
