    We are looking to recruit an Associate Chief Information Officer for Delivery and Innovation as part of the Digital Senior Management Team.

    This role will be key in taking the lead in creating and delivery of the digital strategic plan and driving the innovation agenda forward across NWAS.

    The post holder will work with the Chief Information Officer and the Digital Senior Management Team on the development and delivery of the strategic plan, providing a delivery focus to support all teams to deliver their objectives and making sure there is effective collaboration and communication across the teams.

    Creation and delivery of the Digital Portfolio Plan that is developed in collaboration with our clinical and operational colleagues
    Development of the architecture function and adherence to our technical principles in the delivery of digital solutions
    Developing a vision and strategy for the innovation team, building on the success of what the team have achieved to date and demonstrating to the trust the value of innovation
    Liaising with colleagues across the Quality, Innovation and Improvement directorate to support them in developing innovative solutions and learn from them in applying improvements across the digital teams
    Leading the delivery and innovation teams in delivering a robust, responsive and sustainable service

    North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

    Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.

    We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

    This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team of delivery, technical and innovation staff
    Proven track record of developing and implementing delivery and innovation strategies
    Good team building skills with the ability to motivate other people and manage conflict.
    Programme / project Management skills with the ability to manage complex workloads
    Advanced user of Microsoft Project
    Competent user of information systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Access
    Strong proficiency in user requirement gathering methodologies, technical design methodologies and innovation processes
    Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills to effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders
    Driving license (full)
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business analytics or equivalent industry experience
    Evidence of further personal professional development
    Significant experience of strategic planning to support wider organisational objectives
    Experience of developing architecture services within a digital environment and establishing best practice for technical standards and solution design

    Strong project management skills, in a variety of project methodologies, with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver projects within specified timelines.

    Significant experience working a senior level in a large and complex organisation
    Experience of building relationships and managing difficult partnership to achieve goals
    Knowledge of a variety of design documentation, user requirement documentation, delivery methodology
    Experience of Digital Department Management
    Experience of managing complex projects using a proven Project Methodology.
    Understanding of Performance Management
