Are you a skilled STA Engineer with experience working on Supplier Quality Assurance within the automotive industry, seeking a permanent position in the Coventry area? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a sector-leading automotive consultancy specialising in the design, development and delivery of niche vehicle from concept of luxury automotive brands looking to recruit an STA Engineer for their team.

The STA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of automotive components into the supply chain by managing, enhancing, and improving supplier performance related to quality, costs, and delivery.

This role plays a vital part in guaranteeing the overall quality and reliability of automotive products.
Implement and manage advanced product quality planning (APQP) methodologies to anticipate and prevent potential quality issues and support project milestones that result in on-time quality submissions
Use quality tools APQP, PPAP,8D, FMEA control plans, process mapping and problem-solving skills
Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes for automotive components
Act as a liaison between the supplier, Design, Engineering, Programmes, Purchasing, and Quality Departments

We are seeking an STA Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related and equivalent discipline.

Proven experience in an STA role working on Supplier Quality Assurance within the automotive industry within an OEM or 1st Tier Supplier
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and working ISO9001/IATF16949 and other relevant quality management systems
Thorough knowledge of industry standards and quality requirements for automotive components
Ability to carry out audits and monitor and report on Supplier performance
Excellent understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other quality management tools
