    About the role - Youth Mentor - Bexley


    An excellent opportunity for a Youth Mentor to gain more experience in a school environment is through this role in which they can gain more training.

    You will be responsible for overseeing their academic needs as well as their behaviour needs.

    In order to be a good Youth Mentor, you need to be approachable as you are often a student's point of contact and someone who feels comfortable talking to.

    It is imperative that you as a Youth Mentor act as a strong positive role model to these students because they will look up to you for guidance.

    As well as organising educational programs and youth recreational activities such as sports, arts and drama, Youth Mentors help assess the needs of young people in terms of their health, social and emotional development.

    You will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and running of community events and for organizing social events for individuals who may be struggling with their social life, health issues, and anti-social behaviour.
