Reporting to the General Manager, main responsibilities include being accountable for all areas of Production across the site.


Responsibilities include:


  • Manage daily production planning with assistance from the General Manager
  • Accountable for the quality of production across all departments
  • Hold daily meetings to discuss daily Production demand ensuring budget requirements are also adhered to
  • Maximise production output and be accountable for downtime and efficiency targets
  • Carry out weekly pre start checks of all Production machinery and report any issues to Maintenance Department when required
  • Assist with training new employees
  • Keep up to date with relevant Health and Safety legislation
  • Conduct the annual review of risk assessments and SSOW
  • Ensure all staff in each Production department receive the relevant training
  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, the law and best practice
  • Coach and mentor 3 direct reports
  • Weekly calibration of Production data

Person Specification

  • An experienced manufacturing sector Production Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader
  • An experienced middle Manager, competent in performance improvement, discipline, grievance and capability processes.
  • A "can do" attitude that motivates others, with a
  • Experience of managing Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Competent in delivering tool box talks
  • Attention to detail and happy to go the extra mile to deliver on time

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely Level
  • ILM Level 2 in Team Leading
  • First Aid Qualification
  • Fire Warden Qualification
  • FLT Trained

Monday to Friday, day shift, 44 hours per week with overtime as per business requirements

£30,000 per annum

20 days holiday including bank holidays
