    Description

    JOB PURPOSE:
    The HSEQ Coordinator is a broad role.

    It will take responsibility for designing, developing and delivering a range of programs covering health, safety, environment and quality throughout the business.


    CONTEXT:


    The primary and overriding aim of the HSEQ Coordinator these systems are but are not limited to; ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO27001, PCI DSS, FORS, Cyber Essentials Safe Contractor & Safe PQQ, BS EN 15713.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Own, improve & maintain the current training management system in its entirety. This includes record management, training needs assessments, training matrix management, and running training reports to be flagged to management.
    • Creating bespoke health and safety training for staff.
    • Deliver in-house training courses to all levels of the business
    • Develop and update Safe Systems of Work & Method Statements
    • Develop and update Risk Assessments.
    • Support sites and leads, ensuring their risk assessments and programs are suitable and sufficient.
    • Manage the Occupational Health Program.
    • Lead the HSEQ & Compliance +internal audit program.
    • Support in reviewing HSEQ and compliance documentation.
    • Prepare management review documentation.
    • Manage environmental metrics.
    • Support as required with supplier questionnaires.
    • Update when required environmental documentation such as waste management exemptions, waste carriers' licenses & aspects and impacts register.
    • Keep up to date with current legislation and health, safety and environmental best practice.
    • Carry out such other responsibilities and activities as reasonably required by the post's nature.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • NEBOSH national general certificate in occupational safety and health or equivalent (Essential)
    • NEBOSH or AIEMA or other environmental qualification (Preferred but not essential)
    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

    • The successful candidate should have previous experience working with ISO management systems, understand them fully, and be comfortable Planning, organising, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and auditing these systems.
    • We see the need for this being the key strength we are looking for in the candidate.
    • Therefore, you should have a Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an HSEQ coordinator or standards coordinator role, preferably within waste and recycling and/or engineering or production environment.
    • You must demonstrate a working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental legislation, Quality Management systems, Environmental management system and health and safety management systems.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint. And Excel (Essential)
