    Milecross Financial is one of the leading financial advice firms in the UK, providing investment, pensions, mortgage and protection advice across multiple locations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England.

    We are embarking on further phases of exciting growth as a business and are looking to appoint a new Business Development Manager to support in Northern Ireland with further potential throughout the UK.

    Exceptional opportunity for an experienced and high calibre business development and management professional.

    You will be responsible for overseeing the development and performance of business in the region, along with identifying and progressing other opportunities for growth in that region and sometimes other UK geographies to more widely support Milecross's business objectives.

    You will in particular oversee, coach and develop practices and advisers that join Milecross creating strong business plans and overseeing progress.

    You will also be a key member of the management team, using your experience to create and supporting broader business initiatives and support other business development activities and regions as needed.

    Work directly with advisers to help develop their performance, knowledge and skills.

    • Supportboth organic growth andacquired businesses and client books.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, expand the customer base, maximise our offering for clients and encourage business growth.
    • Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
    • Work as a supervisor to ensure that all financial services activities within the region comply with Openwork, Milecross and industry regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact Milecross Financial Solutions
    • Ensure you and the advisers in your region(s) fully observe all regulatory and compliance requirements at all times.

    Considerable and extensive experience in the financial services industry over many years, including a track record of successful senior roles across sales, business development and business strategy.


    • Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including investments, mortgages, insurance, and wealth management.
    • Proven track record in helping individuals and businesses build and deliver strong and successful business development strategies and plans
    • Deep understanding of financial advice commercial and remuneration models.
    • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of financial professionals.
    • Excellent relationship and networking skills
    • Familiarity with financial regulations and a commitment to maintaining compliance within the region.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities to assess regional performance and make data driven decisions.
    • Willingness to travel within the region and across the UK as needed.
    Salary £55k (depending on experience and remit)
