Join us as a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Lead

What you'll do:


As a PMO Lead, you'll be defining and developing the portfolio structure to provide appropriate governance, control and management of a high profile portfolio, including associated interdependencies.

It's a highly collaborative role that will see you working closely with a variety of stakeholders.

In doing so, you'll be conducting regular reviews of the portfolio, challenging the status quo and driving informed decision making about portfolio priorities, making sure that impacts on risk, stability and resilience from a customer and bank perspective are considered.


You'll also be:

  • Leading in the preparation of programme status or project highlight reports to escalate risks and issues to senior executives when required
  • Providing platform, domain and crossdomain coordination across strategic programmes in order to identify gaps, overlaps, interdependencies and design conflicts
  • Understanding the overall domain or platform risks, how they may impact the portfolio and reducing where possible
  • Tracking and reporting on portfolio costs and making sure the portfolio is completed within the agreed domain or platform spend budget
  • Recording actions and minutes for internal and external meetings to ensure stakeholders are made aware of key decisions

The skills you'll need:


To join us in this role, you'll ideally hold an appropriate portfolio management qualification, such as Prince 2, Agile or SAFe Portfolio Management.


You'll also need:

  • Knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models and practices within an Agile or DevOps environment
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and senior management level colleagues
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
