Job purpose


The Junior Compliance Administrator assists the National Transport Manager in ensuring the company is compliant with all relevant rules and regulations concerning drivers, vehicles and health and safety.

This role is suitable for committed, motivated and professional applicants wishing grow within a compliance role.

There may be opportunity to advance to the role of Compliance Administrator once the successful applicant has proven competence in all duties and responsibilities.

Fleet experience is not required but would be advantageous.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Digital and physical filing.
  • Information management.
  • Communicating issues and information to colleagues and managers.
  • Performing regular licence checks.
  • Monitoring requirements for Driver CPC training and arranging training dates.
  • Renewing various licences.
  • Confirming regular maintenance dates with internal and external maintenance providers, ensuring all evidence is provided upon completion.
  • Ensuring driver card data and tachograph data is uploaded by branches in time.
  • Discussion of infringements with drivers and notifying branch administration of performance issues using the DCRS (Driver Compliance Risk Score).
  • Rectifying missing odometer mileage.
  • Onboarding/offboarding of vehicles.
  • Onboarding/offboarding of drivers.
  • Liaise with external Health and Safety professional.

Qualifications and Position Traits
Applicants will be comfortable with "on the job training".

As part of a team of 2 (including the National Transport Manager), the applicant will also be comfortable with regular lone working while the National Transport Manager attends meetings at other branches.

Applicants need to be highly organised.

Applicants also need to be generally confident and experienced in the use of IT systems and must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
