The Data Lead will drive the Data Workstream with accountability for the Workstream deliverables as a core member of the Supply Chain Transformation team.

The role will effectively drive the delivery of identified activities and benefits, partnering with functional and cross-functional business teams to do this.

The Data Lead needs to be creative and agile, shaping solutions and finding innovative approaches and optimal delivery methods to deliver transformational workstreams.


The role will need to influence a wide range of stakeholders at many levels to gain input and alignment to the overall Data work-stream.

Workstreams are global across Pharma and Vaccines, driving digital transformation and acceleration as part of one GSK transformation team. Integration with other workstreams will be critical to success.


Key responsabilities

  • Working with Rx and Vx Data Leads, define and agree enterprise data strategy, working with global MDM team to align across GSK
  • Support inclusion of Vx in enterprise model, aligning to one approach with Rx
  • Define and support set up of data stewardship in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains across Rx and Vx. Need to work together and agree phasing with Rx and Vx Data Leads.
  • Define and drive digital data culture shift as an enabler to increased digitization and cognitive supply chain automation. Review enterprise toolkit to define investment 2023/24. Business led governance board agree set up, roles together
  • Define cross company data solutions zero touch and selfhealing data supporting supply chain ambition
  • Connect data across workstreams within 2030 SMART manufacturing scope for a joined up, end to end ambition
  • Accountable for effective workstream leadership within the Programme governance frameworks, defining and delivering on plans, KPIs, budgets and interdependencies. Working very closely with the Programme Lead and other Workstream leads to ensure the alignment and delivery of the business outcomes are aligned to the overall Transformation
  • Leadership and input into Steering processes, STPs (able to define visions and scope to deliver business proposals and implementation plans), identifying and implementing decisions needed, risk identification/ management/ mitigation
  • Innovative approach to identify opportunities for value and acceleration, to connect across business areas for synergies and to look for innovative ways to scaleup/implement fast and securely; use of agile methodology
  • Model GSK Behaviours with an enterprise mindset as a senior leader working across GSK and lead by example, working successfully with different cultures
  • Create a supportive atmosphere in which to provide coaching, feedback and support to team members and extended team

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
University graduate or equivalent in an appropriate business/technical area. Strong digital transformation experience and team leadership competencies managing within a complex environment

Knowledge of systems, processes and standard ways of working are vital to be successful in this role


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Qualification in a supply chain or operational related discipline
  • logistics, supply/demand management, operational management
  • Pharmaceutical / Vaccines Experience
