Job Overview:

The Government and Banking Communications Director, based in Dubai, will spearhead the communication and public relations efforts for a government agency closely aligned with the banking sector. This role requires a professional with an agency background, adept in crafting and executing strategic communications that bridge government initiatives and banking operations within the UAE's dynamic economic landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communication Management: Develop and execute communication strategies that integrate government and banking sector objectives, focusing on Dubai's financial landscape.
• Media Relations in Banking and Government Sectors: Build robust relationships with media entities in both sectors, managing communications, press engagements, and events in Dubai and beyond.
• Public and Financial Sector Campaigns: Lead campaigns to educate and inform stakeholders about key government and banking initiatives, emphasizing Dubai's strategic economic roles.
• Crisis Communication and Financial Stability: Implement crisis management communications, particularly for scenarios impacting financial services and governmental trust.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Investor Relations: Facilitate ongoing dialogue with government bodies, financial institutions, investors, and other key players in Dubai's economic sphere.
• Internal and Financial Communication: Oversee communications within the agency and the broader banking community, aligning with Dubai's financial and regulatory environment.
• Digital Communication in FinTech and Government: Manage digital platforms, highlighting the agency's role in financial technology and government banking relations in Dubai.
• Content Creation for Financial and Government Audiences: Develop content tailored to the nuances of Dubai's government and banking sectors, showcasing regulatory and economic developments.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sentiment and trends in the financial and governmental sectors, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead a communications team with a strong focus on government and banking sectors, fostering agency-level understanding and expertise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Finance, Public Relations, or related fields, with a preference for candidates with agency experience.
• Proven track record in communications within both government and banking sectors, ideally in Dubai or the UAE.
• Deep knowledge of Dubai's financial regulations, economic policies, and banking industry.
• Expertise in strategic communication, media relations, and content development for government and financial audiences.
• Strong digital communication skills, with experience in FinTech and online media strategies.
• Leadership experience in high-stakes, multidisciplinary environments, preferably within a communications agency.
• Network of contacts in Dubai's media, government, and financial sectors, with a record of successful stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English and Arabic preferred, reflecting Dubai's diverse and international business environment.
