Reed Education are working in partnership with a school based in Maidenhead to support them in appointing a Subject Leader of Geography.


The school which is based in the heart of the Maidenhead community 'provide a curriculum which enables all learners to achieve their maximum potential and is relevant to life in modern society' both staff and students work in partnership to create a communitywhich they are proud of through the values created by the school.


As part of the team, the learning lead will be responsible for the following

  • Teach high quality lessons in which students make timely progress
  • Instruct all students and key stages across the curriculum as required by the timetable
  • As a leader and manager contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school and to be initiativetaking in supporting an ethos that recognizes and celebrates success and promotes elevated expectations and aspirations.
  • Use Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to view, analyse and interpret places and data
  • Understand both Physical and Human Geography
  • Line managing a team of staff who deliver the geography curriculum
  • ECT/QTS/PGCE qualification
    (essential):
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
  • The right to work within the UK
  • Experience teaching Geography
