About the role

We are recruiting for an International Consultant to join our growing team in either Birmingham or Bromsgrove.

You will be responsible for engaging and educating our clients about their employee benefits via a wide range of communication methods.

To secure new business from new and existing prospects / introducers, assisting in the delivery of NFP's business plan and objectives for profitable growth.

Overview of duties
Ownership of the client relationship - technical ownership and relationship ownership.
Perform strategic reviews with large and key account clients.
Build on the relationship with the client via one-on-one calls and touch points throughout the year.
An extensive knowledge of technical details, such as country specifics, policy details and products such as multinational pooling.
Understand client aims and objectives, requirements as per IDD to ensure recommendations are suitable, particular to each country.
Consistently work to broaden technical knowledge (exams, personal study etc.)
Understanding of the client's global strategy and being able to find solutions to suit the clients need.
Make suitable recommendations based on the client's particular needs.
Client servicing - respond promptly to client enquiries, in line with agreed levels of service (within 24 hours).
Understand the workings of commission on policies.
Confidently liaise with finance and answer any questions on commission for policies or queries regarding fees.
Work with finance to generate invoices for clients and following on the fee discussion with the client.
Understand the client service agreement and prepare when needed.
Maintain a good relationship with sales, to be involved with the sales process and onboarding of clients.
Build and maintain a relationship with colleagues in the US, Canada, Ireland etc. as there will be an expectation to work as a team for the client.
Confidently oversee the account managers to carry out the administration work for the clients
Work with upper management/director level colleagues.
Ensure a professional standard is upheld when speaking with colleagues, clients, prospects, and any other 3rd parties.
Assist with the training of junior employees on the team and be a vital mentor to these employees.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:


Customer orientation - Display a positive attitude and behaviours, demonstrating an awareness and willingness to respond to customers to exceed their needs, requirements, and expectations.

A passion for delivering customer service excellence, going over and above.
Strong communicator - Able to express themselves clearly and positively, both verbally and in written communication. Excellent listening skills, always checks administrative work.
Excellent organiser - including time management and prioritization - Prioritises customer needs above all else. Manages own time effectively and able to manage the expectations of other stakeholders regarding delivery timescales.
Activity oriented - Works at a fast pace but doesn't sacrifice attention to detail, enjoys being busy.

Problem solver/innovative - Capable of developing innovative solutions for clients using knowledge and research skills as well as liaising across teams to deliver solutions.

Brings new ideas to the table.


Education and experience:

BA or BS degree preferred or equivalent experience
3+ years experience within a similar role

Salary:
Competitive depending upon experience


Hours: 35 hours Monday - Friday

Location:
Birmingham or Bromsgrove - Hybrid
