An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a new team supporting a 14-year-old young man with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delay, with physical, hearing and visional impairment, in the Ross on Wye area.
Job Summary:
The role of Team Leader will be to provide management, leadership and support to the client's 'Support Team'.
You will contribute towards the development, implementation and review of individual support plans, therapy goals, and staff training needs and supervision.
You will manage the staffing rota and ensure staffing shortfalls are appropriately covered.As part of the role, you will maintain appropriate records such as daily records and ensure the safe management of medication, this will ensure that accurate and effective monitoring and communication takes place.
The role will also require you to carry out all personal care, in daily, evening and weekly activities, to increase his independence and opportunity to socialise with his peers.
You will enable him to be out in the community having fun, helping him to take part in leisure activities, such as horse riding, swimming, biking, gardening while helping him build his life skills.
You need to have experience of working with individuals with cerebral palsy and development delay including visual, hearing and physical and have experience of managing a support team.
You will be working with the family, case manager, therapists and alongside other support workers. This position therefore requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer.
Being able to drive is essential.

Salary:
£17.50-£19.00 per hour

No less than 38 per week
