Are you looking to seek a new role in Orthotics?


Are you confident to all clinical situations, well organised, have excellent communication, and an enthusiastic approach? Then come and join our team.


We are looking for maternity cover as a Senior Orthotist to join our hospital based service at St Richard's Hospital which provides face-to-face appointments.

At our main site, we have a large clinic room for patient assessment and care delivery. You will be required to travel to cover clinics in Worthing Hospital and local partnership sites for this post.

Working within the MSK Directorate of St.

Richard's, Worthing and Southlands as a Senior Orthotist, you will have regular contact with other key teams and professionals to enable you to effectively manage your orthotic patient pathways; having close links to the Podiatry team, Physiotherapy, Diabetes and other MSK services.


To provide high quality person centred care which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.

To undertake independent assessment and management of service users to incorporate pharmacological considerations, where appropriate making complex clinical decisions regarding service user management and clinical outcomes.


To provide advanced clinical advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis and advanced decision-making skills.

To manage change, to monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research and education. To promote and demonstrate best practice by integrating evidence into practice

To work within BAPO standards, comply with orthotics service procedures and MHRA legislation at all times.

To provide expert advice and knowledge to other services and professionals within the trust where an orthotic device might be indicated eg support and advice to ICRTs and wards.
