Cyber Security Consultant / Senior SOC Analyst

FULLY REMOTE - (UK ONLY)

Working Hours:
TBC - expected to require on-call / shift work due location of various teams and clients.

ABOUT THE CLIENT & ROLE:


My client, a technical services company based in London is looking for a
Senior Cyber Security Consultant with outstanding knowledge of
Threats and Vulnerabilities to join their global Security team on a permanent basis.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide expertise related to threats and vulnerabilities across various systems
  • Monitoring and scanning security and reviewing logs across all systems and devices
  • Investigate security alerts and provide incident response if, and when required
  • Assist with management and operation of security controls
  • Supporting deployment of new and updated security solutions, processes etc.
  • Utilising SIEM / SOC tools to provide accurate analysis and recommend action
  • Manage Anti-Virus and Endpoint Detection and Response
  • Monitoring security tickets and respond to all SOC service requests
  • Providing consultancy to internal / external team members and clients
  • Managing firewall security and network monitoring tools
  • Acting as Lead for projects when required, guiding junior members

ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Expert uptodate knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Security Operations processes and tools
  • Demonstrable experience working in a SOC environment
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (Sentinel)
  • Exposure to network security
  • Azure and O365 experience will be beneficial
  • Technical Services or Consulting experience highly desirable
  • Ability to work on shift patterns and embed a "follow the sun" methodology
  • Related certification (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CCSP, CISSP, CISM, CEH) and / or education related to IT Security.
