    You will have the opportunity to work within the Halewood BIW Dimensional Assurance Department as part of the CME Team, to provide measurement data in line with the Cycle Check Schedule in order to maintain the build integrity and performance of BIW structures. Furthermore, you will collect, measure and confirm build integrity of various sub-assemblies and BIW structures using various measurement equipment.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Daily, Weekly achievement of cycle check control plan requirements to an agreed schedule
  • Collection of Assemblies & returning after measurement
  • Pre- start up safety checks of machinery prior to use
  • Weekend working to agreed rota as per business requirements.
  • Fixture Calibration
  • TPM and basic maintenance of CMM's
  • Housekeeping
  • Safety Standards
  • WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Time served with indentured apprenticeship in metrology, component inspection or machining or similar discipline with the willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Familiar with operating measurement equipment, or CNC machining of components or use of 3D printing technology.
  • Ability to compile data and produce concise and accurate reports.
  • Familiar with use of portable scanning or optical measuring equipment and ability to learn new measurement equipment as technologies are introduced.
  • Relevant experience using CMM and/or Scanning technologies for the inspection of components and/or familiar with 3D printing of components.
