Job Title: Scala Engineer

Contract: 12 Months

Location: Osterley, UK (2 Days Per Week in Office)

You will:

• Engineer the capabilities underpinning our sales and service customer journeys. They will enable customers to quickly and easily buy the right Subscription packages and service their accounts, whilst being highly reliable and
• efficient to operate.
• Design, build and operate Scala microservices
• Continuously experiment to find improvements for our services and how we work.
• Learn and share knowledge across the team and department
• Create applications that scale predictably, facilitate development across teams of developers and promote maintainability and extensibility.
• Collaborate across all areas of ClientTV and Client to ensure deliveries are co-ordinated and consistent.

You'll have:

• Knowledge of how to create and operate web services at scale
• Passion for Scala development
• Applied knowledge of the principles of Test Driven Development and the benefits that are realised.
• Experience with developing for containerisation and orchestration tools such as, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra
• Familiarity with streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Familiarity with Actor models such as AKKA streams
• Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery tools like Jenkins
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
