We are currently looking for some talented and motivated
Senior Engineer's to join our expanding team in Glasgow.


Our energy infrastructure teams are recognised industry leaders and operate across several markets within the diverse landscape of energy generation and distribution.

We work for a range of clients including energy developers, operators, and contractors.
We use the latest design software and techniques to produce innovative and efficient design solutions for our clients.


What does the role involve?


Working as a Senior Engineer in the Energy Infrastructure team we will offer you exposure to varied project work, operating both client side and in a design and build environment.

Engaging with our clients in partnership to develop the most effective designsolutions for projects that help meet the challenges of net zero emissions.


  • Undertaking and leading significant elements of the detailed design, such as drawings, specifications, reports and calculations, to achieve the optimum solution for the project.
  • Working in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and delivered in accordance with agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out to the Company's IMS, and current H&S legislation requirements.
  • Ensuring that solutions meet client needs and that expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Working in close collaboration with team members of other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role.
  • Project managing the delivery of projects in line with our project management framework.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to junior employees and assisting the mentoring and development of colleagues.
  • Liaising with our clients and supervising works on site when required.
  • Recommending / implementing improvements to technical policy, processes and design solutions.

To be successful in this role you'll possess:

  • A relevant degree and either have or be close to achieving a relevant professional qualification.
  • Strong experience of design software packages (for example AutoCAD, PDS, WinDes / Flow and ground modelling software packages). A sound understanding of their use in the design process for BIM.
  • Experience of undertaking highway geometric design in accordance with the DMRB, and desirably Manual for Streets, using Bentley MX or OpenRoads.
  • Civil infrastructure design experience with good technical knowledge within own expertise area.
  • Experience of working on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience of statutory or thirdparty approvals
  • Good organisational and project management skills required to support multiple live projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector an advantage
  • A sound understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and to ensure Safety by Design best practices are achieved.
  • A good allround understanding of quality management systems and processes, financial project management systems, business and commercial issues.
