    This Luxury Department store is seeking flexible Department Managers who can step in for peak sales periods, pop-ups, team cover and ad-hoc business needs. Your role will be to manage the floor staff in the given department or pop-up, ensure stock loss is minimal, drive business standards within the team and act as a role model when handling customers and colleagues through effective communication.

    Responsibilities:

    • Foster a high-performance culture and exceptional customer service within the department team.
    • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to store standards.
    • Formulate strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance customer experience.
    • Manage high-traffic situations adeptly, showcasing resilience and professionalism.
    • Collaborate effectively with store management and other departments for a unified approach.
    • Monitor and react to market trends, customer feedback and sales data.
    • Uphold the store's standing for luxury retail standards and excellence.
    • Act as a true Selfridges ambassador by and lead by example following the store's values
    • Maintain a positive can- do attitude at all times
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing department at all times.

    Requirements:

    • A proven track record as a Department Manager or a similar role within fashion retail.
    • Strong people skills with experience in team management.
    • The ability to excel under pressure within a dynamic retail setting.
    • Outstanding customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Resilience, adaptability, stamina and a proactive approach towards challenges.
    • A profound understanding of fashion retail trends and the market.
    • Organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management practices.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during peak seasons.
