    About the role.

    Job Title: Content Writer

    Salary: £26,500 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

    Terms of employment: 12-month contract (with 2-month probationary period) (after the initial contract, we'd look to make the role permanent)

    Hours: Full-time

    Location: Remote

    Reporting to: Account Manager and Head of Client Strategy

    Position summary.

    We're looking for a talented Content Writer to join Kurogo. Ideally, you'll have first-hand experience writing social-first content ((i.e., LinkedIn and/or Twitter content) for CEOs, founders or company executives. You may have worked at an agency, in-house or freelancer.

    As a Content Writer, you'll write social media content for a suite of clients from a range of sectors (and countries) - some of the most exciting founders, CEOs and entrepreneurs in the world. You'll work in a 'Pod' with an Account Manager and a Social Community Executive to develop our clients' personal brands. Your key responsibility will be to produce highly engaging content that builds our clients' audience and authority on social media.

    You'll be a talented writer with a deep interest in writing social media content for clients in diverse sectors and you'll be passionate about personal branding. As a young and ambitious organisation, we're looking for someone with entrepreneurial drive, commercial acumen and someone hungry to join an early-stage agency.

    We've grown rapidly in 2022 and 2023 and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. In fact, we're continuing our expansion globally in 2024 and you can join us on this journey. Let's become the world's go-to personal branding agency.

    Key responsibilities.

    • To work closely with our clients to understand what makes them stand out and the reputation they want to build
    • To research and understand our clients' industries inside out
    • To work with your Pod (Account Manager and Social Community Executive) and senior team to execute personal brand positioning strategies effectively through high-quality content
    • To write and distribute content for social media (predominantly LinkedIn) that generates engagement, grows our clients' followings and builds credibility
    • To adopt varying tones of voice to reflect our clients' goals, industries and brands
    • To monitor our clients' industries to spot opportunities for reactive content and trends we can jump on
    • To repurpose press releases, media features and other content into highly engaging social media content
    • To champion our clients and support their content creation needs where required
    • To share information and best practice on producing industry leading content openly and productively with the wider team
    • To bring your own thoughts and ideas to the table as to how we can grow as an agency

    What we are looking for.

    • 2 years' experience (minimum) in content writing for social media (this could be at an agency, in-house or freelance)
    • Keen interest in the personal branding space + passionate about writing short-form content (like LinkedIn or Twitter)
    • The ability to spot trending content and viral ideas
    • Proactive, self-motivated and organised, with excellent project management skills
    • Determined to learn and develop with us - constantly looking to improve our delivery, the business and your own skills
    • A creative and curious individual - someone who is not afraid to experiment and push the boundaries of the content you write
    • Ability to handle multiple clients/projects simultaneously
    • Someone with a positive attitude to feedback
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We're a remote-first agency, so you'll spend a lot of time working from home (though there will be opportunities to meet the team in-person, such as at the Kurogo Studio in London)

    A typical week could involve:

    • Working with your Pod colleagues to build personal brand strategies for new clients, to position them as a thought leaders in their industry
    • Building content strategies for client and writing high-quality social content for your clients to grow their audience and authority (the vast majority of content you'll write will be for LinkedIn)
    • Attending whole team meetings and Pod meetings to report on the status of your clients
    • Attending regular content calls with clients to collect powerful stories, advice and their life/business updates that you can turn into engaging social content
    • Editing content to optimise its performance
    • Collaborating with your Pod to develop existing clients' content strategies
    • Analysing campaign performance and updating content strategies

    • £26,500 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
