    Description
    Primary and Secondary trained Teachers urgently needed for "Outstanding" School (English, Maths, DT, Science, Music).

    The School:
    The 'Outstanding' independent school is a specialist therapy school that caters for pupils who have suffered adverse childhood experiences.

    The pupils who attend the school are aged between 5-16 years of age who benefit from a therapeutic curriculum, that is focused on meeting the pupil's social, emotional mental health needs(SEMH).

    The school is local to Nine Elms train station and boast excellent transport links.

    Teachers at the School are responsible for the highest standards of the quality of education and behaviour management for their children who have significant SEMH, as well as other associated SEN.

    Staff facilitate learning through engaging, well sequenced and appropriately challenging learning lessons which ensure that children know and remember more.

    Teachers teach and plan for all National Curriculum subjects and learning is linked to pupil's curriculum needs, individual needs, progress plans and assessment of pupil's learning and achievement.

    Teachers write two achievement reports over a year, assess pupil's achievement and progress using formative, assessment milestones and ensure that books/folders are well presented and kept up to date.

    Teachers are at the core of leading the schools' pupil centred ethos and reflect the values and expectations at the school.

    Teachers work at the core of a wider multi-disciplinary team of professionals when it comes to facilitating learning learning with specific pupils in their groups.


    Responsibilities:

    • To motivate, engage and inspire our children.
    • To facilitate a well sequenced curriculum and child-centred learning.
    • To manage behaviour positively and in line with the schools' ethos and procedures.
    • To ensure learning and lessons are well sequenced and meet the needs of children.
    • To lead on ensuring the learning environment is attractive, positive & uncluttered.
    • To ensure assessment for learning/assessing progress is kept up to date, monitored and used effectively to support each child's learning.
    • To plan, deliver and lead lessons in accordance to the national curriculum.
    • To role-model the values the school stands for and to be a role-model of outstanding professionalism.

    Prospective candidates are required to have:

    • A DBS in date within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new DBS.
    • Appropriate RTW in the UK for full time work.
    • QTS(essential).
    • Previous experience working within a classroom setting or similar.
    • Previous SEN experience(SpLD, SEMH and ASC).
