    What will you be doing:

    You will be responsible for the financial management, controls, and reporting for the UK Packaging Business Unit. This includes all Mount Park packaging and warehouse activities, as well as relative activities from Mount Park and Hamble (MTO). The role reports to Senior Finance Manager, Global Packaging Operations.

    Essential Responsibilities:

  • To provide financial support to the Packaging Business Unit management team.
  • To be an active member of the finance and business unit teams, helping both to deliver against the company's goals and objectives.
  • To provide accurate and timely Financial/Management accounts to support the effective monitoring of the packaging business unit. Including presenting performance KPIs to senior management.
  • To prepare, analyze and report, on a monthly basis or as required all distribution data including: packaging volumes, headcount, secondary handling and overhead costs.
  • To provide on-site financial control to all aspects of the packaging business unit, providing day-to-day support and advice to Business unit staff and management team members on existing and future packaging internal control practices.
  • To regularly audit SOX / Internal control processes within the business unit & participate in internal controls testing for the wider UK business.
  • Partner with the business to ensure accurate and timely completion of CEA (Capital Expenditure Authorisation) forms for new projects
  • Responsible for the completion of Capital Projects commissioning documentation & transfer to the Financial Accounting team
  • Responsible for the completion of Fixed Asset Disposal documentation and sign-off
  • To monitor and control capital investment projects.
  • To be responsible for monitoring and reporting of fixed assets within the business unit.
  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting of capital project requirements for the business unit and cash flow forecasting for UK Operations
  • Monitor and report the expenditure and headcount of a group of indirect cost centres.
  • To produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the Packaging Business Unit
  • Liaising with the companies' internal and external auditors as required
  • To perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal posting.
  • What are we looking for?

    We are looking for a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with preferably previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. In addition, you will have:

  • Experience in the financial management of capital investments and inventory is preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act would be preferable
  • A high level of computer literacy, especially in the use of integrated financial databases and costing systems
  • Advanced skill in the use of Excel is required and Intermediate skill in the use of Powerpoint and Word is required.
