Page Personnel are delighted to be partnered alongside a Public Sector Organisation in their search for a temporary support as an Assistant Accountant, there is a role this role could become permanent.


Client Details
My client is a Public Sector Organisation based in central Leicester, easily commutable from Leicester and wider Leicester. My client operate on a flexible, hybrid working policy.


Description


The Assistant Accountant will be expected to provide technical financial accounting to the organisation, ensuring the maintenance of the General Ledger and reconciliation of control codes.


Other job duties of the Assistant Accountant include:

  • Providing financial accounting support to the Financial Accountant
  • The provide advice and guidance to the Trust's staff and management on VAT
  • Other ad hoc duties

Profile

  • Be studying for their AAT qualification (or have relevant experience)
  • Have experience working in a busy finance function
  • Have experience working within a team to produce year end accounts
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Have strong analytical and interpretative skills
