About the role:


It's an exciting time to join the Learning and Development team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver, streamline, and automate our business processes and develop the capability of our people.

We're seeking a creative Digital Learning Design Lead to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to develop engaging learning experiences as we grow and deepen the capabilities of our employees for today and tomorrow.


Reporting into the Senior Learning & Development Business Partner you'll work in collaboration with our Learning & Development Managers to define requirements and measures of success using data and insights to inform your approach.

With a keen eye for design and deep understanding of adult learning principles, you'll craft visually compelling learning experiences that resonate with diverse audiences and align to our organisational objectives.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home with a minimum of 2 days a week in your local office.


What you'll be doing:


  • Collaborate with Digital Learning Design Leads, Learning & Development Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, and launch new digital learning experiences and communication initiatives across AXA UK.
  • Create internal buzz around all platforms, ensuring employee engagement and enhancing learning experience for maximum impact.
  • Work with the Learning Experience team to curate and create content for learning hubs and the LMS.
  • Utilise variety of authoring and design software and multimedia tools to develop highquality digital learning, visuals for slide decks, video, and audio resources, HTLM web pages, print and communications following L&D brand guidelines.
  • Identify new innovations in digital learning and provide recommendations and optimisations of existing programs.
  • Establish strong relationships within the team and wider business to ensure that any new digital learning and communication initiatives meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Work occasionally with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to design and develop mandatory learning courses and campaigns.

About you:


What we're looking for:


  • Knowledge and experience in using instructional design theories to deliver digital learning solutions and programmes.
  • Broad experience and accomplishment in using a range of content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adapt Builder, and other webbased authoring tools. Also, be familiar with SCORM / HTML5 publishing to LMS systems.
  • Ability to record and edit corporate training videos.
  • Graphic design and video editing capabilities and experience using editing software such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering digital learning solutions for corporate employees.
  • Experience of designing, developing, and delivering companywide communications campaigns to engage employees in learning initiatives.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills interacting confidently, building relationships across all areas of the organisation, and effectively managing multiple projects at once.
  • Some HTML website and CMS design experience to design and deliver custom web pages.
  • Ability to work under pressure, problemsolve, prioritise workload and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Energy to work as a selfstarter, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multisited team.


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
