Senior IT Technical Support - Senior Infrastructure Support - Senior Server & Desktop Support - 1st to 3rd Line IT Support, Birmingham, West Midlands for our Financial Services clientfor a 1 year Fixed Term (FTC) PAYE role paying up to £58,000per annum plus full Company benefits for a role which could go permanent in the future. You will working within an ITIL environment and be Hybrid working normal office hours 3-4 days a week in Birmingham City Center offices and 1-2 days a week from home/remotely.


I am seeking an experienced Senior IT Technical Support - Senior Infrastructure Support - Senior Server & Desktop Support - 1st to 3rd Line IT Support person with previous Servicedesk experience gained from an ITIL financial services background.

This couldbe gained in a Banking, Stock Broking, Investment or Asset Management, Insurance - E.g. a financial regulatory / control environment.

You will be working in a team environment and in a Microsoft stack environment covering Server and PC support but focusingon core technologies including; Microsoft Server and Windows 10 & 11, Active Directory, Exchange, Ms SQL, and Office 365.

You will also be working with Citrix, Oracle SQL & Linux, VMware, Cisco Switches and Apple mobile devices (iPad & iPhone).


Your main taskswill be to provide:

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd line call logging and resolution (software & hardware)
  • Inperson support in local office (and regional offices when required)
  • Support and administration of network, server and desktop systems
  • User support & administration for business systems
  • Support of the telephone systems
Due to the nature of the role, you should hold some Microsoft Qualifications, i.e.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent work experience and have worked in an ITIL environment, andcalls for an outgoing person with excellent interpersonalskills who enjoys lots of interaction with users.

You must have previously worked in a structured financial services environment, e.g. banking, insurance, pensions, dealing room, trade floor, savings, savings, assurance or investment etc to be considered forthis position.


This role is a 1 year Fixed Term (FTC) role with full Company benefits and you will be employed directly by the client as the role could go permanent in the future.

You will be working for aninternational financial services client who operate in bright andmodern Central Birmingham offices working normal office hours with some home working.
