Description
Compliance Manager required for this academic establishment located in Cambridge City.

You will work very closely with the Bursar, Senior Deputy Heads and other senior members to ensure that the school is compliant with the regulatory frameworks that it operates in.


Location:
Cambridge City


Salary:
£45,000pa


Key responsibilities:


  • Ensure the school remains up to date and fully compliant with all appropriate regulations.
  • Communicate and advise on key compliance changes
  • Provide guidance and advice to policy owners on any legislative changes
  • Work with senior staff to advise on how to develop systems and practices
  • Communicate with and report to the charity commission
  • Communicate with and report to the school's insurers
  • Liaise with external advisors
  • Act as a sounding board on legal issues
  • Promote a culture of compliance amongst staff
  • Maintain up to date records of compliance
  • Monitor and audit compliance practices
  • Compliant recording and processing
  • Provide advice and guidance on data protection
  • Support with audits and inspections
  • Attend appropriate meetings and events

Your skills/experience:


  • Recent and relevant experience leading a compliance function
  • Experience in dealing with confidential information
  • Up to date understanding of operating within the legal and regulatory frameworks impacting on the education sector
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Self motivated
