This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living Wage Foundation.

Key Responsibilities

  • To supervise the current cleaning team with flexibility to cover security(oversee day to day running of mall, car parks, perimeter, back of house areas and waste operation and housekeeping in the Service Yard.
  • To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene around the premises.
  • To maintain a high standard of compliance and H&S requirements.
  • To lead the cleaning team and undertake day to day leadership and delivery of housekeeping services supporting operational delivery at Atria Watford Shopping centre.
  • To provide the Mall, Car Parks and External areas focal point for the centre which includes compliance and audit relationships liaising with the Management and external bodies as required.
  • To support the Management with rostering of staff, ensuring efficient use of team at all times.
  • To manage excellent relationships with our client, suppliers and customers.
  • To lead and develop and retrain cleaning staff to deliver quality services in the most efficient and effective manner and achieve a "One Team" approach within the business.
  • Work closely and support staff when required with Hands On approach.
  • To ensure that the Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of service delivery increasingly adding value to both the business and our client.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are followed as per company policies and procedures which will include accident reporting / investigation, delivery of toolbox talks, PPE checks, maintenance of statutory and non statutory recordsetc.
  • Support and work closely with the site Customer Services and Security teams.
  • Management of the cleaning equipment, consumables and materials.
  • Daily monitoring of cleaning standards throughout the external areas ensuring team proactively respond to all tasks as required.
  • Ensure that all chemical and cleaning solutions are used correctly in line with manufactures and company operating procedures.
  • Maximise recycling opportunities working closely with the other cleaning team leaders to ensure all recycling opportunities are explored.
  • Ensure the teams are trained, managing the ongoing refresher training program.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
  • To continuously review and introduce cleaning best practice across and throughout the demise of the shopping centre.
  • To own and deliver the range of cleaning services required to meet / exceed the customer requirements and add valued support to the management and delivery of the operational services.
  • To enhance the relationship with the customer and ensure the appropriate and timely response to all cleaning issues and events.
  • To ensure that all relevant records are held and updated as required.
  • To support the management and forecast spend of agency related cost.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Valid SIA Licence required
Experience in the provision of cleaning services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
Able to demonstrate a good level of customer service.
Body fluids trained.
Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
Honest and reliable work ethic.
Well presented.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work in both/internal and external environments.
Willingness to partake in further on-site training.


Desirable
Basic Knowledge of H&S legislation.
Flexible working approach to work patterns
BICS qualifications.
Driving Licence
