    Stockbroking/Trading Platform Associate Director

    London (Hybrid Role but must be able to commute to London offices on a weekly basis)

    (up to £135k inclusive of Bonus, Pension 15%, 30 Days Holiday, Full Family HC + Benefits)

    This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can drive the success of the UK Stockbroking Platform. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and leadership skills to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the overall stockbroking proposition.

    You will Lead the design, development, and launch of innovative trading solutions and enhancements for UK Government Gilts, Corporate Bonds, International Dealing/Multicurrency, IPOs, and Limit Order enhancements. You will be pivotal in defining and delivering propositional enhancements, especially for the Broadridge shareholder rights and Designated Brokerage services and driving the overall growth of the stockbroking proposition and strategy. T

    his role requires deep knowledge of stockbroking, financial markets, technical expertise, strategic planning, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and leadership.

    Non-Negotiables:

    1. Deep understanding of investment funds and related products, as well as experience in retail platform business (D2C or Advised/IFA).
    2. Strong technical knowledge of trading platform architecture, trade processing, market data analytics, and regulatory compliance.
    3. Lead the design, development, and launch of solutions for projects such as UK Govt Gilts and Corporate bonds, International Dealing/Multicurrency, IPOs (Initial Public Offerings), and Limit Order enhancements.
    4. Compliance knowledge: Understanding of the regulatory environment, especially related to stockbroking, securities trading, and shareholder rights. This includes GDPR, MiFID II, and other relevant financial services regulations.

    ROLE PROFILE

    • Vesting schedules and performance-based stock awards

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for the stockbroking platform in alignment with market trends and organizational goals.
    • Product Development and Management: Lead the development and enhancement of trading solutions, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory standards.
    • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with third parties, including WBS, Broadridge, ETF Providers, Investment Trust Providers, Market Makers (RSPs), and technology service providers. Manage relationships, negotiations, and collaborations effectively.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all trading solutions and enhancements comply with relevant UK and international financial regulations.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with trading platforms, financial transactions, and third-party engagements.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
    • Vendor and Technology Partnership: Evaluate and manage vendor and technology partnerships to achieve project objectives and strategic goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Around 10 years in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to stockbroking or asset management. Proven experience in product development, strategic planning, and stakeholder management in the financial sector.

    Overall delivery an up-to-date trading platform for UK Stockbroking, keeping up with the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to ensure that the stockbroking platform remains competitive and compliant. Strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a strategic mindset are also crucial for success in this role
