Description

To undertake a wide range of work, which is complex and non - routine, requiring an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge normally acquired through formal training and at least 3 years relative experience.

Responsible for fault finding, installation and maintenance across the Trust properties.

Provides technical advice to the other Estates maintenance staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.


Core skills will include, but are not limited to:

  • Mechanical Services
  • Steam Raising Plant
  • Pressure Systems
  • Heating Systems
  • DHW Systems
  • CW Systems
  • AHU's and vent plant
  • Pump isolation and removal (Mechanical and Electrical Services)
  • Water heater isolation and removal (Mechanical and Electrical Services)
  • Replacing electrical tubes and lamps
  • Fire alarm testing
  • Minor nurse call repairs
  • Resetting of RCDs
  • Assist with refuelling of diesel generator day tanks
  • Touching up paintwork and making good
  • Repairing and modifying false ceiling tiles
  • Minor floor repairs
  • Minor carpentry repairs
  • Fix and replace ceramic wall and floor tiles
  • Fitting of locks and padlocks
