    Overview

    Following an expansion of the team, The Base are excited to advertise the role of Senior Young Person's Resilience Worker

    The Base Kirklees are a confidential drug and alcohol service for young people aged up to the age of 21. We offer advice and support to young people in who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. This support offered includes specialist care planned interventions, brief interventions, targeted group work, outreach, and training. The service works in a holistic way and works closely with local partners in ensuring a multi-agency approach to supporting children and young people.

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Senior Young Person's Resilience worker who will hold a reduced caseload of children and young people requiring substance misuse support, whilst acting as a practice lead within the service.

    The postholder will provide case management supervision and support for a designated amount of Resilience Workers supported alongside the Team Leader. They will also support the Team Leader to deliver training and consultation to external partners and stakeholders on the issues facing young people around substance misuse, and support the team leader with induction process for new staff members and ensure best practice including supporting new staff inductions, offering shadowing opportunities and observed practice.

    The successful applicant with therefore possess excellent engagement skills and possess the ability to work in partnership with other services and share their knowledge through the delivery of training around substance misuse to other professionals.
