Description

To promote the range of goods supplied by selling to customers on the telephone and at the trade counter.

Obtaining all necessary information to allow the sourcing and pricing of all material required - including alternatives and secondary sales opportunities.

Conducting pro-active telephone calls to pre-determined customer groups as directed by the Branch Manager.
Ensuring all delivery promises are maintained by continually monitoring and chasing any outstanding orders.

Obtaining all necessary information required by Head Office to consider new credit accounts, and passing this through to Head Office.

Customer account queries or other problems.

It is inevitable that the sales desk operator will be involved in duties outside of this profile such as warehouse and general office functions.
