An international battery company creating, developing, and producing high-performance, long-lasting batteries is currently looking to hire a Cell Modeller. The successful candidate will build, maintain, verify, and validate the library of electro-thermal battery models.

The Cell Modeller will:

• Develop new experimental characterization methodologies to be used for model development.
• Provide technical support on projects in mainstream engineering.
• Support test planning and facilities development activities both internal and external.
• Create 1D simulation models for batteries including auxiliary electrical equipment in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Participate in model review with team members.

The Cell Modeller will have:

• Electrochemist background at degree level, PhD preferable.
• MATLAB Simulink / Simscape modelling experience.
• Good understanding/experience of manufacturing Li-ion cells and benchmark performance/aging.
• 2 years' experience in dynamic modelling and simulation.
• 1D / 3D modelling experience.
• Strong background in Li-ion electrochemistry including aging mechanisms.
