    BOSS Energy is working with a a globally renowned European utility company who are seeking Solar PV Project Developers to join their UK team.

    The role sits as part of the Onshore Development team in England and Wales, where they have a growing pipeline of projects under development.

    This role will focus on Development primarily through greenfield development and early stage M&A of utility scale solar PV projects.

    ResponsibilitiesSolar PV Portfolio Growth – identifying and securing new target solar PV projects for the company by desktop site identification, analysis & screening (greenfield or early stage M&A).Commercial Negotiations – be responsible for the commercial negotiations with landowners / land agents / consultants to secure the development / wider land rights for the company's solar projects.

    Work closely with internal and external property experts to solve complex property workstreams on solar PV projects.
    Managing internal relations - building internal relationships across the organisation. Acting as primary point of contact for the company on solar pv planning, technical and property matters.

    Legal Agreements – working with our internal and external property and legal teams to secure all necessary lands rights are acquired for solar pv projects in origination and within the existing portfolio.

    Network building – building the necessary networks of land agents, landowners, consultants, suppliers, etc in England & Wales to meets year on year targets.

    Strategy Development & Implementation – Work with colleagues to refine and implement the solar PV business strategy in the UK.The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal and external property experts to agree and secure the necessary legal agreements for all property related project matters regardless of the status of the project in the development process.

    Key CompetenciesBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business or relevant related discipline.
    A strong track record and knowledge of utility scale UK ground mounted solar development is essential.

    Must have a proven track record of identifying, securing and assembling a portfolio of renewable energy projects, ideally solar PV in the UK.Experience in budget management and the specification and formal procurement of contracts for new projects.

    Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise at all levels; from landowners, general public, local authorities, statutory bodies, contractors to senior managers.

    Sound knowledge of legislation and Best Practice Guidance governing the panning, permitting and development of solar PV projects in England and Wales.

    There will be an expectation to travel to other offices and sites outside of your base location (including Europe/Overseas) which may involve overnight stays
