    We are recruiting a new team leader to join our close and friendly Temporary Staffing team to help oversee and support the day-to-day running of our busy Medical Temporary Staffing services.

    You will play a vital part in the smooth running of services, managing the team and working closely with department leads to ensure continuous improvement and quality is at the heart of what we do.

    Don't be fooled by an office based role, the successful candidate will need to have excellent people and relationship management skills as this is a highly engaging role.

    Main duties of the job

    1) Ensuring the team respond to and generate outcomes to all queries that come into the service

    2) Line Manage the Temporary Staffing Co-coordinator(s) and ensure suitable office attendance managing hybrid working efficiently

    3) Monitor and report against KPIs, outcomes and objectives

    4) Build and maintain strong working links with external agencies

    5) Build and maintain strong working links with internal colleagues notably with clinical colleagues

    6) Manage complaints process ensuring escalation where required

    7) Work closely with Operational Manage to ensure continuous improvement through creativity and innovation

    8) Attend weekly team catch ups and monthly team meetings

    9) Attend training as required

    Job responsibilities

    The Temporary Staffing Team leader position is a leadership role to support the operational processes and demand for Temporary staffing solutions, ensuring governance and safety at all times. Support the manager to ensure the processes are in place to deliver a comprehensive service and ensuring Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.

    Line management responsibility for the Temporary Staffing co-ordinators assigned to the team to include regular 1:1s and assist with annual appraisals. Lead on team meetings as and when required.

    To support the Head of Temporary Staffing and Operational lead by ensuring

    1. Management of invoices and purchase orders for the department.

    2. Accurate data collection regarding Bank and Agency bookings.

    3. Close monitoring of bookings and confirming correct processes, authorization and governance are in place

    4. Accurate and timely records to provide regular Key Performance Indicator information, both individually and for the department.

    5. Assisting with recruitment and induction of new Bank staff.

    6. To assist with the production of a range of Temporary Staffing reports.

    Be responsible for the administrative demands of the service including induction of Bank workers, management of fit notes, mat B1 forms and other documents.

    To communicate to a wide variety of staff members and disciplines, whilst working in an ever changing, busy and sometimes challenging environment.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Degree Level and/or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of recent and role relevant CPD
  • Desirable

  • Level 3 or above Management and Leadership qualification and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Minimal 12-month line management/ supervisor/ Team Leadership experience
  • Significant experience in fast pace office environments
  • Experience working with KPIs and Quality Assurance
  • Experienced working with clinical workforce systems such as Allocate
  • Desirable

  • Experience in engagement and relationship management
  • Knowledge/ Skills

    Essential

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
  • Highly analytical with ability to assimilate complex data
  • Good report writing and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of Clinical working environments (shifts patterns and doctor grading)
