    Job Title: Teaching Assistant

    Location: North Tyneside

    Contract Type: Long term

    Leader Education are recruiting a conscientious Teaching Assistant who would thrive within a North Tyneside based school. This school caters for students aged who experience social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

    This school holds its pupils to an exceptional standard, aiming to provide the best education so that pupils can reach their potential and have the future they deserve.

    The ideal Teaching Assistant will have a genuine passion for working with children and helping to improve their educational journey.

    The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

    Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.

    The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

    • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
    • Have experience of working in a transferable role.
    • Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
    • Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning.
    • Possess good classroom skills.
    • Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
