    Civil Engineer Cambridge-based Consultancy (Full Remote Working)

    As an experienced Civil Engineer, you will be part of our rapidly growing and modern consultancy here at Civilistix.

    We are a dynamic team who specialize in highway and drainage projects, drafting of pre-planning reports such as flood risk assessments and so much more where you can apply your skills.

    Minimum 3 years experience in a UK consultancy office, specifically in highway and drainage design.
    Strong written and oral communication skills in English with a technical mindset.
    Ability to work on projects of all sizes.

    Experience in taking the lead in preparing planning reports, such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies, and ensuring project delivery meets our clients expectations in terms of quality, timelines and budget.

    Preparation of compliant surface water and sustainable urban drainage strategy reports to support planning applications.
    Preparation of compliant flood risk assessment reports to support planning applications.

    Preparation of compliant private and adoptable (S104 of the Water Industry Act 1991) drainage designs for technical approval and construction.

    Preparation of compliant private and adoptable (S38 / S278 of the Highways Act 1980) highway designs for technical approval and construction.

    Undertake dialogue, correspondence, and negotiation with relevant third-party stakeholders (such as the Lead Local Flood Authority, Highway Departments, Environment Agency, Internal Drainage Boards, Statutory Undertakers, and the like) in relation to obtaining drainage and highway consents and approvals.

    Undertake Autocad and 3D drafting / modelling in relation to highway and drainage projects in an efficient and timely manner.

    Attending site and design team meetings as necessary to support projects.
    Obtaining third-party quotations, advice, and input as necessary to support projects.


    Qualifications/Software Skills:
    Competent and highly efficient in the use of AutoCAD
    Competent in the use of all Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook
    Will ideally hold a bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.
    Site 3D / Causeway Flow experience would be advantageous.
    A member of the Institute of Civil Engineers would be advantageous.
