Description

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and versatile Associate Director of Operations for the Medicine Division to work as part of a cohesive team with the Divisional Director and Associate Director of Nursing.


You will be responsible for the operational delivery of services within the purview of the division, including respiratory, palliative and end of life care, geriatric medicine and cardiology.


The associate director is a key senior management and leadership position with the responsibility and accountability to manage, develop, direct and lead service improvement and performance strategies to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, efficient and effective patient care.


Your track record will demonstrate success in leading and managing large and complex services and teams in an acute hospital setting.

  • Take day to day responsibility and accountability for the operational running of the division supporting the Divisional Director and Associate Director of Nursing to performance manage the clinical and operational teams.
  • Lead the Team to ensure national and local targets are achieved and that they meet the needs of the local community and the wider NHS and fulfil commissioner agreements.
  • Monitor and manage performance to ensure that patientcentred services are of a consistently high standard.
