    Description

    Would you like to join a renowned international defense company that focuses on enhancing the capability, reliability, and availability of critical assets for their clients? Currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Plymouth on a contract basis (with a hybrid working model).

    About the Role:

    As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be involved in multi-discipline infrastructure system designs to ensure the sustainment capability of the Devonport Dockyard. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Support management of structural engineering aspects of new buildings
    • Provide expert advice on structural engineering
    • Offer technical design guidance and review structural design packages
    • Ensure integration of structural designs with other packages
    • Ensure timely and quality production of design documentation

    Requirements:

    To excel as a Senior Structural Engineer, you should have:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
    • Knowledge in Seismic Design (preferable)
    • Experience in managing sub-contractors/consultants
    • Preferably Chartered Engineer status

    Important:

    Due to the nature of the role, candidates must obtain SC security clearance. The vetting process is overseen by the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and requires proof of UK residency for at least 5 years.
