The Green Recruitment Company is currently working with a European Renewable developer who is looking for a Grid Connections Manager to join their UK office.

This person will be looking to secure grid connections for solar wind and energy storage projects.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing IPP who have a strong UK and Italian pipeline.

In this role, the successful candidate will identify and secure new grid connections and apply their technical and commercial expertise to the management of existing projects.

Apply technical and commercial expertise to the management of the connections pipeline.
Manage the delivery of work undertaken by external contractors and consultants.
A relevant degree, for example in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience planning new connections, preparing and submitting grid applications, and reviewing offers for solar and/or storage.

Knowledge of UK distribution (and preferably transmission) networks, the grid connection processes, relevant codes/legislation and roles of the various key parties involved.

Knowledge of the electrical design of solar PV and battery storage plants.
Ability to identify and manage technical and commercial grid risk in new grid connections.
Experience in a system planning, connection design or similar role would be advantageous.
Competence in Microsoft Office.
