Page Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an organisation in the HE (higher education) sector for a permanent Financial Accountant to join their Finance Department based in Leeds City Centre.

The role will provide leadership and management to the Group financial accounting function, including implementing, managing and ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the service.

The role will provide leadership and management to the Group financial accounting function, including implementing, managing and ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the service.

Description
The role will provide leadership and management to the Group financial accounting function.

The role holder will have responsibility for the the group balance sheets and accurate monitoring & forecasting of cash flows.

The Financial Accountant will alsobe responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for the group and managing the statutory audit process are key responsibilities within the role.

Profile

Have relevant financial accounting experience;
Be studying towards a relevant finance qualification;
Excellent attention to detail;
Management experience would be desirable.

Job Offer

On offer is a salary commencing c.36.5K with progression up to c.40K, an outstanding local government pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and an additional 5 discretionary days over the Christmas period, flexible and hybrid working, anda wide range of other employee benefits.
