Do you have a background in project coordination, and a familiarity with the dynamics of tender processes? Are you ready for a challenging yet rewarding role in a dynamic environment? We're recruiting on behalf of our client, an international transport company, for a Bid Coordinator for an upcoming tender project.
This is a temporary role with an immediate start and will run for 4 months, from start of the tender process, right through to tender submission.
There is a hybrid pattern to the role where you will be in the London office 3 days a week and work 2 days from home.
As a Bid Coordinator, you'll be integral to a team of 30-40 professionals, including directors, managers, and consultants, in a bid for retaining a significant rail franchise.
Your days will be dynamic, involving everything from supplier onboarding and managing the bid budget to ensuring all bid documents are in strict alignment with specifications.
You'll work closely with various team members to track progress, handle clarification questions, and support the procurement team. This role is about being the anchor of a high stakes bid process where every detail counts.Bid Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination, including supplier and consultant onboarding.
- Planning, managing, and monitoring bid activity and progress and liaising with bid team members for timely updates.
- Managing the bid budget, including the validation and process of supplier invoices.
- Overseeing clarification questions and communication through the bid portal.
- Managing project risks, including ensuring bid documents meticulously adhere to specified requirements.
- Assisting the procurement team and contributing to the overall submission process as deadlines approach.
Bid Coordinator Essential Skills:
- Proven project or bid coordination experience, preferably with a background in rail or a similar industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration software platforms.
- An enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic, with a determination to succeed.
- Ability to work independently to tight deadlines, with strong communication and presentation skills.
