**Manage an effective, high performing, high achieving team, who deliver the highest standard of teaching and learning in order to achieve the key goals and objectives in line with the organisational strategy of Babington. Drive performance and accomplishmentof department strategy objectives through inspirational and motivating leadership.


Brief person specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Level 5 CMI Diploma in Management & Leadership or equivalent experience

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or equivalent) teaching qualification or willingness to acquire one
  • Level 3 Certificate Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) qualification or willingness to acquire one

Skills and experience

  • Experience of developing educational strategies in a diverse and evolving business.
  • Rigorous involvement with business planning and operative budget management.
  • Experience of successfully managing high performing teams.
  • Proven delivery experience within further education.
  • Proven record of coordinating, developing, and delivering creative educational programmes.
  • Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision.
  • Experience of Ofsted inspections.
  • Experience of leading within a continuously evolving environment.
  • Experience of networking effectively relationships with a diverse variety of organisations.
  • Ability to inspire, enthuse and motivate others.
  • Knowledge of the Awarding Organisations, Funding Bodies and Ofsted regulatory arrangements.
  • Knowledge of curriculum planning.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Hold a clean driving license with access to a vehicle or have the ability to travel.
