Job Overview
Paneltex is offering an exciting opportunity for a Design and Draughtsperson Apprentice to join our team in Kingston Upon Hull, to work alongside Design Engineers learning to create and amend technical drawings and documentation for design and manufacturing use.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating and managing technical documents
- Creating and amending CAD drawings
- Creating and amending design documents and procedures
- Support the Design Engineers on development and other project work
- Responding to production queries during the build period, as and when required
- Attending internal Departmental meetings, taking notes and following through with dates and responses
- Be familiar with all company policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience/understanding of CAD software (desirable)
- Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings (desirable)
- Practical with a very high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
- High work ethic & team player
- Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety
- Punctual & reliable
Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 5 or above) essential

Apprenticeship Details
This Technical Apprenticeship at Paneltex will offer you a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while working alongside industry experts.
The apprenticeship programme will typically run for 65 weeks, plus 13 weeks EPA (End Point Assessment), and will provide you with valuable on-the-job training, supplemented by theoretical learning to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will guide you in your professional development and assist you in achieving your career goals.
